This section was about Reagan’s second term in office. In this section they were talking about many different
topics such as; patriotic renewal, continuing social debates, an evolving economy, and Reagan’s Hands-off Style. The first subject that I will be writing is the patriotic renewal. Reagan wanted to recreate the sense of community he had known in his youth and to help revive the virtues that had made America strong. The social debates continued. More and more people began to listen and support Ronald Reagan. They were talking about the civil rights they tried to make the rights for voting for the African Americans so that they can vote also. Many African Americans were again being denied there rights to vote. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 came up for renewal during the Reagan years. Reagan , not being a civil rights activist, was not particualary interested in renewing this important piece of from the Civil Rights Movement. In 1983 Reagan signed a bill that made Martian Luther King Jr’s birthday ,a national holiday. Reagan was not particularly fond of African Americans, and a lot of that is reflected in his policies, regarding civil rights and judicial system.

But himself, he wanted to help get homes, money if they dont have any. reagan also took power when the power needed to be taken.And thats how the THE S&L SCANDAL came alone. Reagan wanted everyone to have something. if it is not money then it is a home. Reagan never let no one bring him down. He never showed no back bone if he was hurt. Reagan always kept his head up. Base on the book In Oct 19 22.6% had drop in the market. and after all that the people wanted Reagan to go back in office for his 2nd term. everyone loved him so much. And Reagan loved them to.
